Imam Hosain (as) was asked:

What is the meaning of politeness (manners)? And who is a polite person?

قال امام حسين س

هُوَ اَنْ تَخْرُجَ مِنْ بَيْتِكَ فَلَا تلْقَي اَحَداً اِلّا رَايْتَ لَهُ الْفَضْلَ عَلَيْكَ 1

Imam Hosain (as) responded, "Politeness is that when you go out of your own each person you encounter you see as better than yourself."
